About the Author
A neuroscientist and trained clinical psychologist, Ian Robertson is an international expert on neuropsychology. Currently Professor of Psychology at Trinity College Dublin, and formerly Fellow of Hughes Hall, Cambridge, he holds visiting professorships at the University of Toronto, University College London and the University of Wales. He is a member of the Royal Irish Academy and has published over 250 scientific articles in leading journals. He is also author and editor of ten scientific books and three books for the general reader, most recently, The Winner Effect. He is a regular keynote speaker at conferences on brain function throughout the world.

Highly recommended. The Stress Test presents your "life problems" in an entirely different view. Perspective and mindset are key to overcoming your obstacles and this book does a great job at driving that home!

Ugh ... A book only the author's mother could love

I heard about this book while listening to NPR and had high hopes. However, this is probably the most boring book I've ever attempted to read. I literally DREAD picking it up because it's so insanely boring. I've forced myself to read this and can only get through a few pages before my mind wanders and I want to go wash my socks or scrub the underside of the toilet seats instead of continuing to read this book. This book could have been written in crayon for the simplicity of what it is really about but the author is so impressed with his training that he can't help rambling on.

The best use of this book is for a gag gift for someone you really hate. It will make them want to take anti depressants just to try to finish the book.
